CUSAT has three tier system of administration namely :- |

| SYNDICATE |
| |
|
|
- Comprise of 17 members, presided over by the vice chancellor.
- Has power of general superintendence and control over all its institutions.
- Syndicate meets once a month.

| SENATE |
| |
|
|
- Have 83 members under chairmanship of vice chancellor.
- This body reviews general policies of university and Suggests measures for improvement and development.
- Senate meets once in four month.

| ACADEMIC COUNCIL |
| |
|
|
- It is the highest body.
- Has power to coordinate and exercise supervision over academic programme and policies of university.
- Responsible for maintenance of general standard of instructions, research, education and examination.
- Has 112 members, chaired by vice chancellor.
- Meets once in four month.

| CUSAT CELL |
| |
|
|
In accordance with HQSNC letter Tr/8502/P/CMASS dated 31 Jan 2003, Memorandum of Understanding between HQSNC and Cochin University of Science And Technology dated 07 Oct 2002; A CUSAT Cell has been set up as a part of the department of Training Design and evaluation cell. The establishment is accredited with CUSAT for the award of degrees/diplomas/certificates for 17 courses vide CUSAT U.O. Conf. II/2941/1/04 dated 26 Jun 04. A revised set of regulations has been approved vide CUSAT U.O. Conf.II/Reg/2006 dated 02 Apr 07.

| OBJECTIVES |

| CUSAT Cell has been formed under TDEC with following objectives |
| |
- Timely and systematic registration of various courses to CUSAT.
- Timely dispatch of relevant documents and mark sheets for registration.
- To administer and execute various flawless procedures for smooth and uninterrupted system of administration
- To maintain CUSAT Fund Account for paying the fees to CUSAT on various approved courses.

| ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY |

|
|
| Duties of Officer –In-Charge CUSAT Cell: The charter of duties of the Officer-in-Charge CUSAT Cell is as under: |
| |
|
|
(a) To reconcile Nominal roll, fee receipt, certificates, registration forms, examination schedule and name of respective instructors and forward the same to university for registration of the trainees.
(b) To prepare folder for each course and maintain the entire records from the time of registration to award of certificates.
(c) Collection of original Certificates from the Trainees and its onward dispatch to the university.
(d) Collection of individual mark sheets in soft copy along with consolidated result in print and to dispatch the result to university in the format acceptable to them.
(e) Collection of Certificates/Diploma/Degree from the university and its onward dispatch to the trainee.
(f) To maintain CUSAT Fund Account for paying the fees to CUSAT on various approved courses.
(g) To administer and execute various flawless procedures for smooth and uninterrupted system of administration.
(h) Valsura representative for Academic council meetings/ submission of Registration forms and results. |

| Duties of Master Chief-in-Charge CUSAT Cell: |
| |
|
|
The senior most Master Chief in the CUSAT Cell will carry out the duties of Master Chief-in-Charge CUSAT Cell and will be responsible to the Officer-in-Charge CUSAT Cell for the following duties. |
| |
|
|

He is to assist Officer-in-charge CUSAT Cell in proper functioning of CUSAT Cell.
-
Master Chief –in-Charge CUSAT Cell shall be the Officer-in-Charge of the CUSAT Fund Account –INS Valsura. He shall be responsible for proper accounting and upkeep of the fund.

| Duties of Sailor in charge Registration |
| |
|
|
The Senior sailor in-charge of the Registration is responsible to the Officer-in-Charge CUSAT Cell for the following duties |
| |
|
|
(a) To get the registration forms filled up by the Trainee.
(b) To get the registration fee deposited in the CUSAT Fund Account.
(c) To compile the registration forms as per the course nominal roll.
(d) He will be carrying out his duties in double bunking with senior sailor in-charge Certificate. |

| Duties of Sailor in charge Certificate |
| |
|
|
| The Senior sailor in-charge of the Certificate is responsible to the Officer-in-Charge CUSAT Cell for the following duties. |
| |
|
|
(a) To collect original certificates and mark sheets of various courses as per the nominal roll required for registration.
(b) Safe custodian of certificates.
(c) To prepare folder for each course and maintain the entire records from the time of registration to award of certificates.
(d) Collection of Certificates/Diploma/Degree from the university and its onward dispatch to the trainee.
(e) He will be carrying out his duties in double bunking with senior sailor in-charge Registration. |

| Duties of Sailor in charge Result |
| |
|
|
| The senior sailor in-charge of the Result is responsible to the Officer-in-Charge CUSAT Cell for the following duties. |
| |
|
|
-
Collection of individual mark sheets from result section in soft copy along with consolidated result in print and to dispatch the result to university in the format acceptable to them.

He will accompany Officer-in-Charge CUSAT Cell for Academic council meetings/ submission of Registration forms and results.
-
Collection of marks sheet from the university and its onward dispatch to the trainee.

| Duties of Sailor in charge store/mail man |
| |
| The sailor in-charge of the store is responsible to the Officer-in-Charge CUSAT Cell for the following duties |
| |

He is to initiate action for demand and storage of materials.
-
He is to keep a list of all job request and put them for Officer-in-Charge CUSAT Cell approval
-
He is responsible for safe custody of all PLL items and consumable items kept in stores.
-
He will be responsible for filling and timely dispatch of mails.
